At Rest...

For Steve's funeral last week, we gathered all the pictures we could find of him from the immediate family, and I created a slideshow. This is one of my favorites, as it captures the contemplative person he was and how serine he must have felt at his cabin in Ashton, ID... (Formatted for 8x10 print.)

Birthday Boy

In honor of our awesome S's 9th birthday tomorrow... Happy Birthday S!

Also, my first experiment working on manual setting... I think I've finally figured out how to take a sharper image! :)

D on Red

I found this great red barn on the drive home from work Friday that I thought would make a great setting for family photos. I came away discouraged for the most part, as I realized just how little I know about taking pictures of humans, posing, etc. - particularly in sunlight... But I did get a couple of good ones - this one of D being one of them...

Playing with selective color

I just learned how to do selective color effectively in PSE. This is my first try, from D's soccer game last week...

W-Oli

More from the same shoot... He was so sweet, and the fall weather was so perfect!

Back in Black (and White)

I know it's been a long time since I've posted... I haven't had much time to take photos since graduation, but I'm going to try to find some time or else resurrect some old photos to start posting again. Meanwhile, here's one that K took last week of me.

Couple at St. George Temple

My wife and I on the St. George Temple grounds. This was our 11 year anniversary celebration as well - a 2nd honeymoon, if you will...

Graduation Day!

Couple of pictures from the big day last week... :)

Enjoying commencement...

Shadow

I love this one. I caught our shadow on the wall of the foot overpass between the ASB and the Marriott Center. I edited out the edge of the wall for effect, but the shadow is 100% genuine.

Pouting

My oldest son was not happy with his choice to bring the camera instead of his bike on our family walk Sunday. Throughout the first half of the walk, he hung about 2 blocks back from the rest of the family to punish us for his choice. ;-)

Tubing Day

Every year, the BYU MBA program rents out Soldier Hollow (i.e., where the 2002 Olympics x-country ski event was held) for a tubing day for students, faculty, staff, friends and family. What a blast! I regret not going last year.

Wedding Shoot #1

A few photos from my sister-in-law's wedding at the Provo Temple last month... My first wedding shoot... :)

Sweet Cheeks

My third son enjoying some play time outside after one of the snow storms of winter 2006. Nothing like rosy baby cheeks and bright blue eyes! :)
